State Senator
State Representative
Whereas: Marriage as established by God should be recognized by the civil power as legally, morally and historically between one man and one woman only; and
Whereas: A rogue Iowa Supreme Court has exceeded it proper constitutional authority, to claim legitimacy for so-called “marriages” of men with men and women with women, by usurping powers properly belonging to the legislative and executive branches of our state government; and
Whereas: A well funded, elite minority group of activists, supported by a wealthy, out-of-state homosexual instigator named Tim Gill, took advantage of an unaware public to plan and execute a judicial branch revolution to try to overthrow the settled law, and the will of the people, on marriage in Iowa; and
Whereas: An aggressive, determined and politically motivated group of politicians in the Iowa General Assembly consisting of Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal, House Speaker Pat Murphy, and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy work actively to block efforts to pass the Iowa Marriage Amendment and reverse the judicial revolution on the law of marriage in Iowa; and
Whereas: Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal, House Speaker Pat Murphy, and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy have even gone so far as to use legislative rules and procedural power to thwart efforts to get a public roll call floor vote on the Iowa Marriage Amendment in either chamber.
Whereas: Governor Chet Culver has caved in to and become an enabler of a judicial branch revolution to try to overthrow the settled law, and the will of the people, on marriage in Iowa;
Now Therefore: I urge you to stand for marriage in Iowa as being between one man and one woman only, by casting your every vote, both procedural and substantive, in order to pass the Iowa Marriage Amendment through the Iowa legislature so that it can be put to a vote of the people of Iowa.
